Unlock Virgin KP202 mobile so I can use O2 sim card?

I have been given a Virgin KP202 mobile for christmas to replace my existing O2 phone.



I can't put my O2 sim card into the virgin phone as the phone doesn't accept the sim card



I have tried to change the virgin phone for an O2 phone but Argos don't do an O2 version and won't give a refund.



Please can someone help me with advice on how to unlock the phone to accept my O2 sim card?
