About a sim card and cell phone?

I have a cell phone i have had it for about 3 months now, and i didn't have it for about a week, and i noticed about a week later it didnt have a sim card in it, and I was wondering if that's bad or did someone remove it or something, and will anything change now, or be different, because i tried to record something the other day on it and it said insert the card. So i was wondering what things will be different and how is the sim card important to the cell phone. Please answer my question and much thanks.About a sim card and cell phone?
The sim card is everything to the cell phone. Without you can't store any data, call anyone, you have NO number at the moment, message anyone, you can barely do anything. You have to get a new sim card to be able to use your phone for something other then playing games. The Phone is NOTHING without the sim card.



But then again, are you sure it's a sim card? Because without the sim card, you wouldn't be able to call or message anyone. It might be in need of a memory card, and if it is, go to the place where you bought your cell phone, they should sell them. the sim card is extremely important to a phone, it can be transferred from phone to phone so your number never has to change. it can also house all of your contacts and pictures in it, so you probably need to get one soon if you want to save everyone's numbers, but you could always put them in manually.About a sim card and cell phone?

It has some sort of sim card or chip in it or it wouldnt work... When your phone told you to put in the card it was talking about a memory card. The sim card is what makes your cell phone your cell phone, if it didnt have one it would be like anyother cell phone.About a sim card and cell phone?
Are you certain its the SIM card? Also can you let us know what phone you are using?

Basically if it were the SIM card, you would not be able to receive/make calls or do anything network related. Some phones will let you use the phone without a card. This means you might be able to play games, use the calculator etc, but making calls etc will not work as I just explained.



So when you say you tried to record something and it said insert card, I was a little confused by the question. If its recording related, I am guessing that it may be a micro sd card....
