For the samsung sync, how do i get files off my sim card for my ringtones and pictures?

i just got a samsung sync, and i am trying to use the ringtones and pictures that are on my sim card but i dont know how to change it from %26quot;phone%26quot; to %26quot;sim%26quot;For the samsung sync, how do i get files off my sim card for my ringtones and pictures?
Ringtones and pictures cannot be stored on the SIM card. You're probably referring to the phone's memory card...

In order to change the default incoming call ringtone you must edit the current profile. All handset sounds, such as audible message alerts and ringtones are all profile dependent.



Profiles contain all the information associated with the volume settings and levels of the handset. This includes ringers, alarms, notifications, and system sounds. The profile message alert type %26amp; tone allows you to choose the alert type that sounds when receiving new Text Messages, Multimedia Messages, and E-Mail.



There are six different profiles that are preloaded and all have the ability to be edited.



To change the ringtone just follow steps 1 through 4 of the edit a profile instructions below:



While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu

Select Settings

Select Profiles (1)

Highlight the profile to be edited, using the navigation keys, from the following:

Normal

Silent

Driving

Meeting

Outdoor

Airplane

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Edit (2)

Highlight Incoming Call, using the left or right navigation keys

Highlight Call Alert Type, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose from the following:

Melody

Increasing Melody

Vibration

Vibration then Melody

Vibration %26amp; Melody

Vibration %26amp; Increasing Melody

Mute

Press the left soft key for OK to save the Incoming Call Alert Type

Highlight Voice Call Ringtone, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose a Voice Call Ringtone location

Highlight Phone, using the left or right navigation keys

Highlight Audio, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Select to open the audio folder

Highlight an audio ringtone, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Play (1) to hear audio ringtone

Press the left soft key for Select to set the audio ringtone

Highlight Card, using the left or right navigation keys

Navigate to the ringtone location on the memory card, using the navigation keys

Highlight the desired ringtone, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Play (1) to hear the ringtone

Press the left soft key for Select to set the audio ringtone

Highlight Ringtone Volume, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to adjust the ringtone volume

Set desired ringtone volume, using the left %26amp; right navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Ringtone Volume

Highlight Auto Reply, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to enable or disable the Auto Reply

Select either On or Off, using the navigation keys

Enter the desired Reply to Send text, using the keypad

Press the left soft key for OK to save the Auto Reply changes

Highlight New Messages, using the left or right navigation keys

Highlight Message Alert Type, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation button to choose from the following:

Melody

Vibration

Vibration %26amp; Melody

Mute

Highlight desired Message Alert Type, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to save the Message Alert Type changes

Highlight Message Alert Tone, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose from the following:

Use Effect Tone (1)

Beep

Pure

Clean

Fun

Press the left soft key for OK to save the Message Alert Tone changes

Use My Alert Tone (2)

Highlight either Phone or Card, using the left or right navigation keys

Navigate to message tone location, using the navigation keys

Highlight desired message tone, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Play (1) to hear the audio

Press the left soft key for Select to set the message alert tone

Highlight Message Alert Repetition

Press the center navigation key to open

Highlight either Once or Periodic, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Message Alert Repetition

Highlight Alert Tone Volume, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to open

Select desired Alert Tone Volume, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Alert Tone Volume

Highlight Phone Sounds, using the left or right navigation keys

Highlight Keypad Tones, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to open

Highlight either Beep or Clean, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Keypad Tone

Highlight Power On Type, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose from one of the following:

Melody

Vibration

Vibration then Melody

Mute

Highlight desired Power On Type, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Power On Type

Highlight Power Off Type, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose from one of the following:

Melody

Vibration

Vibration then Melody

Mute

Highlight desired Power Off Type, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Power Off Type

Highlight Folder Open / Close Tone, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to choose from one of the following:

Melody 1

Melody 2

Melody 3

Mute

Highlight desired Folder Open / Close Tone, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Folder Open / Close Tone

Highlight Volume, Phone Sounds, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation key to open

Set desired Volume, Phone Sounds volume, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for OK to set the Volume, Phone Sounds volume

To change the “Cingular” default wallpaper follow the steps below:



While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu

Select Settings (9)

Select Display Settings (2)

Select Main Display (1)

Select Wallpaper (1)

Highlight Pictures, using the navigation keys, to select an image or highlight None then press the left soft key to Save a blank wallpaper

Press the center navigation key to locate images

Select either On Phone or On Card, using the left or right navigation keys

Highlight the folder containing the wallpaper, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Select to view images

Highlight desired image, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Select to view image

Press the left soft key for Set to save the main display wallpaper change

Select Front Display (2)

Select Wallpaper (1)

Highlight Clock, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Edit (2) to change the clock types

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Save (1) to save the current clock type as the Front Display wallpaper

Highlight My Image, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Edit (2) to change the current image

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Save (1) to save the current image as the Front Display wallpaper

Highlight Screen Slogan, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Edit (2) to change or delete the current screen slogan

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Save (1) to save the current screen slogan as the Front Display wallpaper

To send a picture message, to anyone with a compatible device, follow the steps below:



While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu

Select My Stuff

Select Graphics

Highlight the desired photo to be sent, using the navigation keys

Press the left soft key for Options

Select Send Via (2)

Select either Messages (1) or Bluetooth (2)

Enter the phone number, using the keypad, or press the left soft key for Options

Select Add Recipients (1)

Select from the following recipients options:

Recent Log (1)

Contacts (2)

Groups (3)

Select the desired recipients to send the picture message, using the navigation keys

Press the center navigation button to check the box(es) of recipient(s) to add

Press the left soft key for Add

After adding all recipients, press the right soft key for Send To

Press the right soft key to Send the picture message to the recipients
