Ringtones and pictures cannot be stored on the SIM card. You're probably referring to the phone's memory card...
-------------------
In order to change the default incoming call ringtone you must edit the current profile. All handset sounds, such as audible message alerts and ringtones are all profile dependent.
Profiles contain all the information associated with the volume settings and levels of the handset. This includes ringers, alarms, notifications, and system sounds. The profile message alert type %26amp; tone allows you to choose the alert type that sounds when receiving new Text Messages, Multimedia Messages, and E-Mail.
