I have a contract with O2, I lost my SIM card and was wondering how I would go about cancelling the SIM card so that nobody can run up a bill under my name.
How would I go about changing my contract to a new SIM card?

Just call your service provider and inform that that you have lost your sim card. they will you to go to one of their stores to get a new sim, which you need to pay for and to keep your same number you will need to do a swim swap. make sure to take your purchase documents with you and id for proof that it is actually yours.

How hell do you open the back of this phone ? I have a new one and its very hard to open the back to change the sim card. Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to open my phone as the manual is giberishSony Ericsson S500i?
Push in the battery holder and slide the back off. It may be jammed in which case you would need to go to your nearest ATT store to have them fix it. Good luck

There should be a number to call for this kind of emergency in your billing statements that you can dial from landlines. If you haven't got those, just go to your local O2 shop as soon as possible so you can sort this out.
