Well to my knowledge, the only way to keep your number would be to go to an ATT store and ask them to keep your number, when you get a prepaid ATT sims card and you call to activate they just give you a number so I don't think it would be possible when your activating your new sims over the phone.

you need to get the cingular phone unlocked. if it's a nokia you might be able to find a free unlock code online. some phones require a data hookup and whatnot to get unlocked so you'd have to find someone who has that equipment and can unlock it. Authorized cell phone dealers and some accessory carts/kiosks/stores do this too. At the very least they should be able to point you in the direction of someone who can do it. Don't play around putting random pins in.

You can't. Verizon used CDMA which doesn't work in Europe, only in the United States. There is no SIM card. You are going to need a laptop with an AT%26amp;T modem built into it. Or get a USB broadband modem from either AT%26amp;T or T-mobile. They use the same technology the rest of the world uses. A verizon or Sprint broadband modem will not work in Europe.

The only way to do this is to ask O2 to issue you a SIM card with your previous number, or a duplicate SIM if the previous one was an O2 SIM. They may wish to charge you for this but if it's a change from another provider they are limited by law as to how much they can legally charge.

Under normal circumstances a network will only change your number when u are bieng bombarded with prank or malicious unwanted calls. In that even the network would request suitable documentation from the local police etc etc. However if u just want a new number the best way is to just purchase a new sim card. Im unsure of ur location but here in the UK u can enter any of the t-mobile stores and obtain a new card for free so long as u put 拢5 of credit on it. that would really be the easiest soloution go get a new sim card, just dont forget to use up all ur remaining credit on ur old sim as nomally any credit CANNOT be transferred :)

I have done that before and it sucks. What you can do then is take you SIM and put it back in the old phone (if it works), and you sync your phone book to the card and then put the card in the new phone and all the info should be on there. I just had to do this a couple of weeks ago and I am with T Mobile.

Most Nokias have the sim card slot located underneath the battery. Slide off the back of the phone, remove the battery and you should see the sim card slot. Just swap it out with the old one.

Basiclly a Sim card is a card that allows you to have service (ie make calls and get on the internet). It's somewhat the brain of the phone, you can save contacts to it and in most phones it fits into the back under the battery. That is really the easiest way to explain it since you are not familiar with it. But Anywho, As far as using that phone on Virgin that is not possible. The main reason is because Virgin does not use sim cards. (with our going in to depth to confuse anyone). You can search google for a software to unlock the phone, as for taking out the SIM card it is different on the iphone than most phones. You must eject the SIM tray. On the top of the phone there should be three things the headphone jack, the sleep/wake button, and a little hole in between the two. you have to get something small and pointy like a paper clip and stick it in that little hole, then a tray should eject and the SIM card sits on that.

Well it depends on the company you are using. Some use sim card and others don't. As far as using a phone from a different carrier, you would have to get the phone unlocked. In order to put a sim card in another phone; that phone must be for the carrier your using. For example, If you use at%26amp;t you have to have an at%26amp;t phone. The sim card slot can be located on the back of your phone, take off the battery cover and take the battery out, you should be able to see the slot. It's usally labeled.

You have to ring up you current Sim company and ask for a code you need to change your number. If you ring the automatic menu and Select the option 'if you are thinking of leaving us'



When you get through to someone explain the situation and they will give you the code you need.



Once you have got this code you then need to ring o2 and say you want to keep your old number, they will then ask for this code.



It usually takes around 7days for o2 to change your number.

It is likely that your Blackberry Curve is locked and it will only work on T-Mobile's network. well im not an expert when it comes to blackberries, but the first step should be to take of the back cover on the cell phone. u should maybe turn it off first. Then look around for and small chip that is only showing about 1/8 of its real size, and the rest of it is inside the phone hiding. if you do not find it take the battery out and it should be somewhere their. then once you've found it either pull it out or if that doesn't work push it in word so that it clicks out itself. don push or pull to hard enough to break it.

Remember when you were at the store and they put in a small chip about half an inch by a quarter inch inside the back, then slid on the back cover? That's your sim card. Normally it's behind the battery. You need to turn off the phone, then side off the back cover and remove the battery. The card should be white, I think. CAREFULLY and SLOWLY pull it out, and bingo. There it is. Or you might be able to take your old phone with you and have them do it.

Was your old handset on a different network originally if it was then that's the reason why it won't work both phones need to be on the same network otherwise they won't work. Also, are you putting it in correctly, different phones have different ways to insert the SIM, look carefully at the inside of the phone where the SIM goes and it usually shows a picture of how it's meant to be inserted (sorry if that's too obvious) Give the SIM a clean with an old school style eraser, that may help a little (worth doing anyway)

You should make sure you have the data plan in the iPhone because I think the internet in the iphone still works even if you don't have the data plan. And if you don't have the data plan make sure you add because you don't want to end up paying thousands of dollar on the Internet.
