Hi, I't a bit of an idiot when it comes to phones.
I was out in the snow today and broke my Nokia 6288 (3G). And im trying to use my sim (that i think is 3G) in an old Samsung E800. It comes up with INSERT SIM CARD even though its in?
Please Help.
Thanks In Advance =DHow To Change Sim Card Mode?
I've had that happen and I ended up having to take it into the network's phone shop. Tehy couldn't get it to work but they gave me a new card and got all the info transferred to it. Not the phone numbers or messages unfortunately, but it still kept the same number. How To Change Sim Card Mode?

The phone you put your sim in may be locked to certain networks.or because its a 3g card the phone may not read it.How To Change Sim Card Mode?

Was your old handset on a different network originally if it was then that's the reason why it won't work both phones need to be on the same network otherwise they won't work. Also, are you putting it in correctly, different phones have different ways to insert the SIM, look carefully at the inside of the phone where the SIM goes and it usually shows a picture of how it's meant to be inserted (sorry if that's too obvious) Give the SIM a clean with an old school style eraser, that may help a little (worth doing anyway)
