i just moved and i want to change the area code on my boost sim card...is that possible? if so how do i do it?How do you change a number on your bosst sim card?
Change your PTN %26amp; DC for free the first 3 times, $3 each thereafter. If the move is in a far-away area code, the Boost CSR will do a market transfer - which cuts the connection if you call on the phone - and requires a handset reset.
You may have to edit Line 1 (Menu|MyInfo) before your new number (PTN) will appear, but the walkie-talkie (DC) comes through quickly (just cycle the power).
If a market transfer is required, you WILL get a new DC number.
Above applies for normal phones by Boost. The new c290 Unlimited (test marketed in CA %26amp; TX) may be slightly different, as I never worked that side of their business.
Call 888-BOOST4U or 611, or do it yourself at http://boostmobile.com . Give them your existing boost cell number AND your 4-digit passcode. Yes, the passcode is REQUIRED. Also, your current phone money must be above $0, as any network account change requires funds to be allowed by their computers.
