Help with my cellphone?! 10 pts for best answer!?

Okay recently I got a new cell number so a new sim card, but I want to switch cell phones with somebody else I know, so I put my sim card into hers and hers into the other cell, but everything of her sim card is now in mine...like her contacts...and my old ringtone is still in the cell and ringing every time somebody calls her...We don't know what to do, I'm guessing that it is related to memory cards? but how could I fix this??When I change sim cards the only thing changing is our numbers...

Thank you so much for all your help!Help with my cellphone?! 10 pts for best answer!?
There is an option in most phones in the telephone directory by which you can copy the contacts in the sim card . With this you both will get your own contacts .Help with my cellphone?! 10 pts for best answer!?
SIM cards store the phone number, and occasionally, they store the addressbook.

on most newer phones, the address book is stored in RAM on the handset.

By switching cards, you've successfully changed-over phone-numbers, however, anything that was customized (like downloaded ringtones) stays on the handset.

In order to switch phones, you should restore the phones back to factory settings. (however, this will delete everything from the phones, so backup your contacts and stuff)

also, make sure they are both on the same network. (most cell phones are carrier-locked, to only work on one brand of network.)Help with my cellphone?! 10 pts for best answer!?
because the sim card isnt a memory card. all options on the fone will stay current til changed by new user. sim card is just for fone number.
