I changed my SIM card from Telstra to Optus on my phone. I got it unlocked so i could do that, but the phone still has telstra on my widget and a link for telstra internet (not optus internet) how do i get rid of the the telstra symbols and everyhting telstra.. I have tried all i could in settings!How do I erase all old carrier features on prepaid mobile phone?
It depends on what handset it is.
Your best bet is to go to the manufacturer website (nokia, samsung, etc) and download the new software onto your phone, but this doesn't 100% guarantee it will get rid of it!
Just make sure you have backed everything up because a software update deletes EVERYTHING (except what's on the sim)
Even though it has the widget for telstra, you may still be able to use Optus settings, just delete the old APNs and get Optus to send the new settings (maybe ring Optus if that wasn't 100% clear)

Can you put a sim card in a new/different phone without changing your plan?

I have an LG Venus, and its all scratched up.. basically, I want a new phone. If I were to get a new LG phone online or something (ie not from the verizon store) that is similar or the same thing, do I have to take it to the verizon store to get service transferred to the new phone, or do I just replace the sim card? And how would I go about doing so?

i didnt know that verizon still did sim cards... mine dosent have one ( i got a chocolate) but if you are registered online at verizon whenever you get your phone you can go online and just put in your new esn number and then wait 5 minutes dial *228 i think i dunno it tells you online and you do that it activates. you dont need to go to the store to get it transfered... or you can always call customer service and they can do it for you :)

You should be able to go to the Security screen on your phone and be able to reset it that way... I don't know. I don't have one of those. O.o

Unfortunately, there is not. You can try talking to your service provider, but if you have a Nokia 5300 my guess is that you have T-Mobile who are useless on issues like this (they'll just tell you to change your number if they can't block him). Call their customer care (611 on your phone).

How do i tell my mom i lost my cell phone?
my phone broke and so i went in to my sisters room and got her old one without asking her. That was a really stupid thing to do i know and now its gone. How do i tell either or both of them? I fell awful. Also, if i keep calling the phone and its off, does that mean someone could still be using and charging my phone plan even though they've changed the sim card?How do i tell my mom i lost my cell phone?
Did u put your Sim card in your sister's old phone so it would work? If not how is it that your sister's phone work? Just be up front with both of them the longer to wait the longer your punishment will be! So tell them ASAP. Apologize to your sister for taking HER property without asking. She probably would have given it to you in the first place! Stop the sneaking around u will just get nailed for it. So fess up be honest and what happens happens but Apologize to both of them genuinely !!

Take your phone somewhere to have it fixed. I broke my iPhone and had It replaced Mastercard will reimburse you if u lose or break a cell phone if it is a 3 month period of when it was purchased! If your mom bought it check into see if it can be replaced for free! Of course you pay for the second phone but CC will credited back onto the card once you fill out necessary paperwork through the credit card company!
If it was bought by cash you are out of luck and you will need to find a job to get a new phone. Sorry !

How do I change my PIN code for my SIM card?
I got a Nokia E71 a couple of weeks ago and recently someone was looking at my messages which I didn't really appreciate. I wanted to make my phone a bit more secure so I tried to click a button that said something like 'enter PIN to activate phone?' I can't really remember, but I clicked this, entered my PIN then it said enter PUK code. I didn't know what that meant so I turned it off and on again. It still came up with the PUK code so I tried a couple of different combinations and 12345678 was right. It then said, enter new pin so I did 1234, then it said 'verify new pin code' and I entered it again. However it came up with a message saying 'code error' and I tried it more times and it still doesn't work. What do I do now?How do I change my PIN code for my SIM card?
